Thumbs up! This dish was easy, festive and flavorful. Flank is a favorite cut of ours. Those that didn't like it probably overcooked it and didn't know to cut it across the grain. I will definitely make this again and add a bit of jalapeño to the salsa.

Very little flavor in the meat itself, considering I marinated it overnight. The concept was good as I think this recipe was trying to emulate the flavors of a mole, but without much success, as the texture was chalky and the flavor was lacking. Wouldn't make this again.

This dish is AMAZING! I have made it at least a dozen times so far for several groups of people. It receives top reviews each time I present it to my guests. At first I skipped out on the pineapple salsa, but I started making it the last couple of times I prepared the dish. It is a great addition to the meat, and I will not skip out on that part going forward. You can also use this for beef tenderloin as it too is delicious. The longer you have to marinade it, the more blended the flavors will turn out (overnight if you have the time!.

Absolutely amazing! Made it over the weekend for my daughter=in-law's birthday. Everyone loved it and finished it all off.

OMG talk about a fiesta of flavours in my mouth. Muchas Gracias, Paula Deen. This was so good, that I should've made double of everything.

This was wonderful! The steak was tender and juicy. The flavor was unbelievable and the pineapple salsa complimented it perfectly. My family really liked it, even my 10 year old daughter, who is a picky eater, loved it. Definitely making it again.

Not sure if I used the wrong type of meat or marinated it too long, but this was just not good. I was so looking forward to making a "different" kind of steak dish and this was really gross. I was so disgusted that I lost my appetite for anthing else. Desperate to salvage 2 lbs of meat, I put it into the food processor, shredded it and added bbq sauce for bbq beef. Hope it tastes better like that.

This recipe was so easy. The flavors blended very well. Similar to a mole sauce. I did not have ancho chile powder so I used chipotle chili powder and it was wonderful. My husband is not a fan of flank steak and was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely make this recipe again. Paula, you are the best!
