Those were the best chocolate cookies I've ever had! I generally don't care for much chocolate. I loved that they weren't really as sweet as you think they would be..Paula rocked it once again!!!!

These are the easiest cookies to make! I have to bake them when my kids are at their sport team practices or they are gone as soon as the come out of the oven! After reading many of the comments below, I have some great ideas for this year! Can't wait to try some new combinations!

huh. I just can't figure out why this got so many 4-5 star ratings. The cookies were definately moist, easy to make and pretty (looks like snow!. Unfortunately, the flavor was pretty blah. Not very chocolatey despite using "dark chocolate" cake mix. The confectioner's sugar was either absorbed into the cookie or not a strong enough flavor to taste it. The only way I would consider this recipe again would be if I put a lot of chocolate chips in it or dunked them in chocolate after baking. I certainly would choose to make other cookies before trying these again, though.

This cookie has become one of my Christmas cookie staples.....because they are so easy, they are perfect for cookie exchanges. I've also tried using a strawberry cake mix and a lemon cake mix on different occasions. Both were equally delicious...with a strawberry (or lemon cheesecake flavor. Hint....do not overcook these! As soon as the timer goes off, pull them out!

I LOVE these cookies!! They are super easy to make and I have made them with both devil's food cake mix and red velvet cake mix. Both a hit. I have yet to find a person that does not like these. Great for taking to parties or cookie exchanges! I will make these over and over for years to come. Thanks Paula!!

Another great recipe Paula! These cookies are so moist they just melt in your mouth. I was reading some other reviews of this recipe and decided to add peanut butter and chocolate chips and the taste is amazing. Definitely will be making again!

This was delicious, I added peanut butter as well. It made them more moist and flavorful... Don't add too much though.

These are my new favorite cookies! Only modification I made was to add milk chocolate chips. They are soooo good!

I love this recipe and have used it with many different flavor profiles. We went apple picking today so we had to try and work them into this recipe. I substituted yellow cake mix, applesauce for the cream cheese ( use a cup of apple sauce, but let it strain through some cheesecloth to remove some of the moisture and cinnamon for the vanilla. I added a 1/2 cup oatmeal for texture and grated an apple (wring out the moisture into the mix. No need to refrigerate, I just made these as drop cookies and drizzled with a little caramel. These were gone in an hour and I have requests for another batch tomorrow.
