I made this today after watching the show and it is wonderful ! It is very sweet, so next time I'll add a pinch of salt. Also, my batter turned out very thick, almost like cookie dough, so I had to add more milk. Great topped with vanilla ice cream.

I have to agree with Karen. The show with Trisha Yearwood was absolutely the best ever. I can't wait to make each and every one of the recipes on today's show. I'm also on my way to Sam's to buy Trisa Yearwood's cookbooks! I wish Paula could have heard me begging for the same gifts she gave Trisha Yearwood. I would so love to have the measuring cups and spoons! I hope Paula invites Trisha back again!!!

My rating is for the show. I've been watching Paula Deen since she started on Food Network, and even though I have loved many of her recipes over the years, today's show didn't sound like anything I'd be interested in. Wrong !!! This was the best show ever. I don't know anything about Patricia Yearwood or country music, but I thought she was an ideal guest. I was so impressed that I learned from a Google site that she has several cookbooks of her own. It's so refreshing to see someone on television who isn't "hawking" their merchandise or promoting something. All the recipes looked good to me, and I'll be trying the very strange chocolate cobbler soon. Thanks Paula. You could do it again !! (P.S. Katie Joel was good, too.

I haven't made this yet, but intend to this 4th of July weekend. So take the "rating" with a "grain of salt" ;o This posting venue would not let me print this note w/o it. It is important to note, that when I was reviewing the recipe, you failed to indicate that the "sugar" in the Caramel Whipped Cream is POWDERED sugar. This will be vital to the outcome of this condiment.
