Super tasty. Used thin sliced pork and cut them up for tacos. The boyfriend loved it!

Big hit with everyone in the family of all ages! We used the left-over rub in a vegi onion gravy and served it with penne. Gravy was awesome on the chop and the penne for our vegetarian. Rub was a lil peppery for our one delicate taster; so let the chop marinate w/the rub for 20 minutes and then rinsed it off before browning. Gave her the flavor w/o the intensity.

Wow...these are like a party in your mouth!! I did not have an iron skillet so I also finished these on top the stove. Just turn the heat down so you don't burn the spices and don't let the pork get dry. serve with something plain because you need to balance all the flavor these have.

OMG!! I was also skeptical of the coco, but let me just say it was out of this world. I used a little worsheshire on the meat and had 2 bone in chops about 1 1/2 - 2" thick, sprinkled 1/2 the spice rub and saved 1/2 for another time. Marinated for 4 hours, seared 3mins. each side in cast iron skillet and in the oven for about 8-10 mins. @ 350. You have to make gravy, I used about 2 tblsp. flour and added a little butter to drippings, 1 tablespoon of spice rub once thick add chicken stock bring to simmer to thicken and added a bit of 1/2 and 1/2. You will not be dissapointed.

Trying it on steaks this weekend. Don't be scared Just do it!

This is by far the best pork chop I've ever made!!! Followed the recipe exactly except for the cooking time in the oven. I had really big pork chops on the bone. 10 - 12 mins at 350. FABULOUS!!! Thanks Paula!!

This was fabulous! Nice subtly spicy, cocoa-flavoured porkchops. It was a nice change to our same 'ol boring pork chop routine. My other half was very surprised at the ingredient combo, and very appreciative to say the least - he couldn't wait to have them again. Didn't change a thing about the ingredients, although at that time I didn't have a cast-iron skillet (boo, I know so I used a regular one. But they still came out great. Took these to a BBQ another time and had them on the grill and I have to say it didn't come out as great, I think using a grill dried them out too much. The flavor was good but they were dry and chewy. Stick to Paula's prep and you'll be juuuuust fine :

I loved these! I made them exactly per recipe except for no red pepper flakes and I used boneless pork chops. They were wonderful! I made them for a group of people from 18 yrs to 80 yrs old, and they all loved them. I did not have a iron skillet but they still browned nicely and were very moist. Some of the pork chops I had were not thick-the thick ones turned out much better. You can really taste the cocoa and the brown sugar gives it a yummy sweet taste.
