This has become a standby in my family. Can't go wrong with this much chocolate, and so easy to make too!

This cake is my husbands all time favorite cake. I add coconut and chopped nuts to the frosting which makes it even yummier!! I had to make this cake 3 times in one week when I first discovered it. It doesn't last in our house 2 days. Thank you Paula for such a great chocolate cake recipe. This one out does my grandmothers sheet cake recipe!!!

Easy cake to make and soooo good! Actually, everyone thought it was even better on the next day. Very rich, very great cake.

I didn't expect much from a recipe that called for a can of Hershey's syrup but I found it intriguing so I went ahead and made it and am so glad I did! My family aren't big chocolate lovers (nor am I so I was quite surprised when my daughters asked for the recipe. This cake is dark and fudgy, thin like brownies and is even better the next day. I cooked the frosting 3 minutes and it was a tad too thick and a little hard to spread so next time (yes, there WILL be a next timeI'll cook it only 2 minutes. The cake part of this recipe is similar to the Barefoot Contessa's "Chocolate Ganache Cupcakes" except hers doesn't call for either salt or baking powder. Paula, you have another winner with this one! (I have to go now 'cause I hear a piece of that leftover cake calling my name, LOL!

I followed the recipe exactly. I'm a very experienced baker and Home Ec. Teacher. I kept having to add 5 min because it wouldn't "set". I added 5 min 3 times before I took it out of the oven. for a total of 40 min. Anyone out there had the same problem
