I made this for a church pot luck and it was a huge hit. Absolutely fantastic! I used cool whip and it was great.

THIS WAS GREAT. I WOULD THINK THAT A GOOD COOK WOULD KNOW TO LAYER EACH INGREDIENT ON TOP OF THE OTHER. STOP CHANGING THE INGREDIENTS IF YOU HAVE NEVER MADE THE DISH, IT MAKES IT NOT THE REAL THING. YOU MAY USE LESS BUT USE THE EXACT INGREDIENT. YOU WILL THEN KNOW WHAT TO ADJUST THE NEXT TIME. THE ONLY THING THAT I SUGGEST IS TO BE CLEAN WITH YOUR COOKING. NOT BITING AND LICKING FOODS AND THE AUDIENCE CANNOT SEE HAND WASHING AND THE CHANGING OF UTENSIL AFTER IT HAS BEEN PLACED IN THE MOUTH. TO YOU WHO WANT MORE GERMS, THAT TO IS A NO-NO. KEEP UP THE GOOD COOKING PAULA WITH ADJUSTMENTS.

I love trifle but I have to give this one a thumbs down. It is not something I would make again. Trifle should be sophisticated beautiful layers: every bite should have something wonderful. This recipe takes a decadant British dessert and turns it into typical American junk food. I just did not like the taste of the processed chocolate pudding and the heavy blondie mix. Yuk. I love Paula Deen but this was a disappointing ending to a wonderful Easter meal. I suppose for a kids dessert however, as my husband put it " this is an eight year old's dream come true"!

Made this for dinner guests and they LOVED it. Both kids and adults! My husband just kept saying "Wow!" I used instant pudding, otherwise everything else is the same. Easy and fantastic!

This was outstanding! We served it for our party and let's put it this way, everyone went back for seconds and even thirds!

This was a delish recipe and very easy and simple to make! This made a big splash,I served it after a week night dinner when we had family over. They were all impressed! I took the last reviewer's advice and added chocolate chips to the blondie mixture before baking. I also added some semisweet chocolate that melted in while the pudding was on the stove. I think that made it better than I'm sure it would've been. However, I did not use the Sherry-just didn't have the real thing and I wasn't sure how it would turn out with the cooking wine. You could also make this using inly store bought stuff like blondies or brownies from the bakery, some chocolate pudding cups and whipped cream from the freezer section. You could do it with or without nuts. I garnished mine with the mint and also added 3 big strawberries...Yummy and Pretty!

This recipe is amazing and easy too! Everyone will gush of it and ask for the recipe themselves! Simple enough for any get together and the flavors combined make for an explosion of goodness in your mouth! I didn't use the sherry but other then that this dessert is fantastic !!! Definitely a keeper in our household! I like to make this a day in advanced for any party!

I MADE THE CHOCOLATE TRIFLE TO TAKE TO A RECEPTION AND IT WAS GOOD AND IT WAS A EASY RECIPE THE ONLY THING I WOULD USE A CHOCOLATE MOUSSE FOR A MUCH RICHER CHOCOLATE TASTE BUT I ALSO ADDED CHOCOLATE CHIPS AND NUT TOPPINGS ON TOP . NEXT TIME I MAKE IT I WILL NOT USE THE CHIPS BUT WILL MIX IT WITH THE BLONDIE MIXTURE. OVER ALL IT WAS EASY AND QUICK TO MAKE AND OVER GOOD.

To anonymous, if you do not have the courage to sign your comment then it is not at all credible. Have the conviction to back up your comments with a name. I intend to try this recipe with my Special Ed students for our bi-weekly Coffee Shop fund raiser. It is easy enough for the kids to put together and teachers (our only customers love anything made with chocolate. One question to those of you who have made this, can it be made the day before or is it best to make it fresh just before serving? I am always on the lookout for this type of recipe for a Coffee Shop treat. Cheers to you Paula from the Apple Dumplin' Gang and their teacher. I will try this for our next Coffee Shop and will undoubtedly change my rating. You rock girl!!!
