I thought these were very easy and fast to make. I really liked the orange zest taste in the churros. I really had difficulty in piping the batter into the oil, but I may just need to practice it.

DELICIOUS! I found it to have the right amount of sweetness and I didn't mind that the shape wasn't perfect. Overall, this recipe is great if you're craving something sweet and need it fast!

They look like churros but the batter is bland and not sweet. Even with sugar and cinnamon on the outside, these churros don't have that ideal churro flavor. I'm going to experiment by sweetening the batter with more sugar, but I do not recommend this recipe for the above reasons. They'll still taste OK because it's fried dough with sugar, but look elsewhere for something more authentic.

Definately easy enough to make, my only problem with making churros at home is getting them the right size. If using the large star tip, make sure you buy the biggest and largest you can buy, otherwise it won't squeeze through. I actually used my cookie press with a number 5 attachment, and that produced nice long churros, but they just weren't star shaped.

These are really disappointing. They tasted very eggy when I was finished and not at all satisfying.

They tasted great, but I couldn't quite get the shape right when I put them in the oil.

We had a "Cinco de Mayo" celebration at work and I attempted to make this recipe. The dough was delicuous, being a new cook however not having a complete kitchen I faced a few challenges. I do not own a hand mixer unfortunately so mixing by hand was hard (to cool the doe down I set it in the freezer for a few minutes. Also it was challenging to find and purchase a pastry bag and the tips in town. Luckily we have a "Happy Cook" store in town where I went as a last resort but I did not purchase the correct size bag and tips so when I tried to pipe out the dough it came out in little squiggles and looked like squid arms. Since they tasted good I brought them to work anyway. I have left over dough and am going to try one of the suggestions from another review and turn them into puff cookies instead. Once I have a more complete kitchen I will attempt this recipe again. Thanks Paula.

My high school son told me (with two days notice that he needed to make churros for his Spanish class. I had never made them before but remember seeing Paula making them one time. I found the recipe and made a "practice" batch last night, following the recipe exactly. My kids LOVED them. And I can't believe how easy they were to make. This morning I made them for him to take to his class and he asked me to make "extra". Thank you so much, Paula.
