Tried this today and was very pleased with the taste and texture. It was great in all ways and easy to make. Thank You we enjoy any recipes that use fresh fruit.

Delish.. Two sticks of butter is for the crust and the 3rd stick is for the apples in the pan.

To crfenion: If you watched the video, Paula added 2 sticks of butter not three. She even said 2 sticks of butter.
We are an apple pie family and this recipe hit the spot with the 3 men in my family. My sons and husband love anything apple. You did it again Paula!!! Thanks-soooo much easier than an apple pie!!

I hope this turns out. On the show Paula put 3 sticks of butter in the crust. This recipe has only 2. If the crust doesn't work, I am out of 5 sticks of butter, 4 cups of flour and 2 cups of sugar. I hate when the show and recipes don't match up!

Time consuming, but delicious. Will not be a go-to recipe, but definitely will make again.

i saw this recipe on her show and knew i had to make it for my apple pie loving husband/very easy and faster to make than a pie. the shortbread crust is delicious and i lined my pan with aluminum foil as paula did on the show, instead of greasing the pan. i also added chopped pecans and raisins to the filling. i will definately make this again.
