Ingredients

  • 1 (10-pound) fully-cooked smoked cured ham
  • 2 (12-ounce) cans cola
  • Canned pineapple rings
  • Light brown sugar, for sprinkling*
  • Maraschino cherries
  • Cloves

Directions

*Cook's Note: I suggest not using dark brown sugar

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.

Place ham in a shallow roasting pan, leaving room around the ham so the air can evenly circulate.

Baste the ham with cola. With toothpicks, stick some pineapple rings on the ham, about 4 or 5 rings. Sprinkle some brown sugar on the rings. With toothpicks, place a cherry in each pineapple ring hole and then stick some cloves in the rings. Cover with foil.

Bake ham until heated through, about 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until the ham reaches an internal temperature of 140 degrees F on an instant-read thermometer. Baste with cola about every 30 minutes during cooking.

    Huge Success

Just made this for a Labor Day/ Birthday Luau. Everybody loved looking at it and eating it. I basted it with cola every half... hour, so it was very flavorful and juicy when it came out. I picked up a whole pineapple and cut that up and cut the green color leafs off as well. I used everything on the ham's tray, so it was very festive and colorful. Thanks Paula!Read more

    Best Ham Ever

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This was the best Ham I have ever had...even better then the super expensive "Honey..." hams you can buy. MY husband and... guests loved it. I omitted the cloves and added the honey glaze packet that came with the ham, I prepared the glaze as directed and poured it on during the last 10 minutes of baking. I baked my 7lb ham at 350 for 2 hours and it came out hot, tender, and yummy.Read more

    325 degrees ?!?

Rated: 3 stars out of 5
This is my first time cooking a ham of this size, and this recipe seemed fitting for myself and the family. 325 degrees for a... cook time of an hour and half, is really not enough for a 10 pound ham. (Yes, the ham was not frozen). going on two hours right now and the ham is as cold as the frig. And yes, my oven is working, lol. Ive heard of how good it is so its worth the wait i guess. Just think the ham needs a little higher cooking temp.Read more
