Ingredients
- 2 cucumbers
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
- Freshly ground black pepper
Directions
Peel and slice the cucumbers and put them in a glass bowl. Sprinkle them with salt and vinegar. Cover and let stand for 30 minutes. Pour off the excess liquid and drain in colander for about 30 minutes to allow complete drainage. Add the mayonnaise, sour cream, dill and pepper, and mix well. Cover and refrigerate until serving time.

I used greek yogurt in place of sour cream & it was delicious & better for you.

Nice job Paula. This was a major hit with my family. I cut it in half because theres only 3 of us, but wow, we would have eaten it all without a problem. Both kids loved it. I added a little red onion like others that I read in the reviews and I also added a little chipotle powder for a very small kick. I'll be doing this one again.

For the ones whos cucumbers were swimming, try patting your cucumbers dry, maybe with a paper towel, after draining them.
