I replaced the cooked corn with raw corn, basil instead of cilantro, tomatoes on the vine instead of cherry tomatoes, white onion instead of red, and skipped mixing the dressing - just dump the ingredients mediterranean-style on the salad ingredients and mix vigorously, mashing some of the avocado on the way. This gives the dressing a creaminess... And I skipped the zest - who has the time? Yum!

This is a family favorite. Everytime I take it somewhere I get multiple requests for the recipe. It tastes so fresh and light. The recipe is perfect with no variations.

We grilled the corn on the cob wrapped in foil and used that. Besdies that we followed the recipe exactly. It is so flavorful and very simple. My husband who thought he didn't like avacados loves this recipe too.

Another Paula Deen recipe that I enjoyed! She rocks at Salad recipes because they're as tasty as ever. I added black beans, mozzarella pieces and jalapenos to my salad, and a touch of minced garlic to the dressing. The sweetness from the corn balanced out the tanginess of the lime. What a treat!

This salad was surprisingly delicious. You may be thinking...blah. It isn't at all! Everyone loved it. The lime dressing is so yummy. I did use more avocado than the recipe called for. You can serve it over a piece of salmon with rice pilaf on the side to make a meal out of it. Try it...you won't be sorry!

Great summer salad! Someone gave me some avocados, so I looked for a recipe to use them and found this one. WOW, is now my favorite summer salad. The only changes I made was to use lemon, because I didn't have a lime and sauté the onions just a minute to sweeten them. Next time I will try the lime, but still sauté the onions.

This salad is always a hit when I take it to bbqs. I add extra avocado and a can of black beans to make it a little more hearty. The extra color looks great too.

This is the B-E-S-T! I serve it at all of our picnics and b-b-qs and if there are leftovers there's bound to be some arguing over them!
