I liked the dish however, Saute' some green onion, red pepper, green pepper, add finely shredded cheese, and it not only looks more festive but has a great flavor.

Quick and easy and has become a family favorite. I do cut the butter to 1/2 stick and use light sour cream - you can't tell the difference. Great side dish and different, so always gets rave reviews if I take it somewhere or use it at a holiday dinner. Try it-you won't be dissapointed!!

This has been my go-to dish to bring to any potluck or dinner I attend for 5 years now. It's so incredibly simple, yet the flavor and texture is delicious. This is comfort food at it's finest. I don't always add the cheese, but this dish is wonderful either way. This dish disappears very quickly whenever I make it, so I always double the recipe. Another thing I love about this casserole is that it is very easy to throw together quickly and transport if you need a dish to bring for an event.

I loved this recipe the texture was perfect and the addition of the cheese on top made it a savory dish. On the down side; however, rather than being a meal, it makes a better snack something quick and easy to pop into the microwave and eat if you make in like muffins.... I don't believe its a very healthy dish though.
