I made this for the office thanksgiving get together. Several people asked for the recipe and said they would make it on turkey day.

I tried this last week for a party and everyone loved it. I plan on making again for Thanksgiving. The only thing I didnt like was the fact that once it became cool, the cheddar cheese became stiff.

YOU KNOW, WITH THE FIRST BITE OF THIS, I WAS BACK IN MY MOM'S KITCHEN WITH THE TASTE OF THOSE DELICIOUS CORN FRITTERS SHE USED TO MAKE. BUT AFTER ABOUT 4 BITES, I THOUGHT TO MYSELF, DO PEOPLE REALLY EAT THIS? MY GOSH, WHEN I TIPPED THE DISH TO TOSS THIS CONCOCTION OUT, IT WAS LITTERALLY DRIPPING WITH GREASE! I LOVE YA PAULA, I WATCH YOUR SHOW EVERY SATURDAY & SOMETIMES DURING THE WEEK, OWN YOUR APRON & A TEE SHIRT, FREQUENTLY MAKE YOUR RECIPES, & YOU MAKE ME CHUCKLE OUT LOUD, BUT......YOU REALLY EAT THIS?????? A STICK OF BUTTER & 8 0Z. OF SOUR CREAM??????? THIS IS A KILLER-------I CAN'T BELIEVE PEOPLE ARE RAVING ABOUT THIS! WAY, WAY, WAY TOOOOOO MUCH FAT! NOT ONE OF YOUR BEST!

I tasted this at a party and was given the recipe. It was cold then, but it was still very yummy. I tried it warm and it was still great! Even better. If you love corn, cornbread, and cheese, you'll love this dish! : Definitely a great side accompaniment to a main meal.

This came out excellent, fresh out of the oven, it is delicious. I forgot to add the butter, and it still was really good.

Hi Richard,
In response to your comment about the incorrect measurement for the butter called for in this recipe...Paula is correct. One stick equals 1/2 cup or 4 ounces.
Try adding 1/2 cup of dieced green chilies or 1 cup of diced coked shrimp to the batter prior to baking...awesome!
