I love corn and tried this dish for Thanksgiving following but doubling the recipe, skipping the cheese; seemed too much for having a big meal. Huge Hit! It was a little thicker than I would have preferred. So I tried again for a Christmas Party. I double both types of corn and left everything else the same and for me it was PERFECT. You cannot go wrong with any variation of this recipe, a hit no matter what. Bonus: Easy and budget perfect.

I tried this because I wanted a cheap casserole on my limited budget. I did just as Paula asked in the recipe but what I got was mush. **The mixture didn't cook, it just got hot.** It was dry on top so it fooled me until I tried to dig some out. I had to use a spoon. I put it back in the oven for another hour. Nope, still mush. Yuck! It seems like this recipe needs an egg or two to hold it together.

It is true that Paula said in the video she was using a 1/2 stick of butter, but all the ingredients were in half as far as I could tell (she never did say how much of any of it she had. I've not tried it in the 8x8 yet, but the 9x13 was great in my opinion.

Good recipe I watched the video after I made the casserole and wanted to point out two inconsistencies: 1 - Paula used a 8x8 or 9x9 dish not a 9x13 which would make the casserole thicker. 2 - Paula used a half stick of butter in the video, not a full stick. Next time I will make the dish with these modifications and skip the cheese. The cheese and excess butter made the dish a tad too heavy for my taste but still delicious and love the simplicity!

This recipe is amazing. Due to the change in seasons, I served it with some turkey chili and it turned out to be delicious. The recipe is simple, quick, and cheap. I think I spent less than $10.00 on everything combined.

Friend made it last weekend as a side to BBQ chicken. Whole family was begging for more and came home and searched for it so we could make it.
