There's none better than Paula Deen recipes when it comes to good ole Thanksgiving comfort foods! This corn casserole became a family favorite year one that I made it. I give it 4 stars only because I really don't like the melted cheese on top. It's much better omitting it entirely or just blending some cheese into the mixture before baking it. This casserole saved the meal this year, as it rescued us from the boring canned vegetable sides of my mother in law!

I actually added 1/2 ea grilled red, orange and green bell peppers. This was a huge hit as a side dish for Thanksgiving - Thanks Paula!!

I've always loved my mother's corn casserole, but this one is so much better! Will be making this again, and not just for Thanksgiving!

I took this dish to Thankgiving dinner and everyone wanted a copy of the recipe! I made two changes that eased my health conscience a bit. I substitued non-fat sour cream for the full fat version, and used I Can't Believe It's Not Butter for standard butter. Nobody had a clue that I had made the it slightly less damaging to our arteries. There's still plenty to of fat to make our palates sing a song of praise.

This recipe was the #1 hit at the Thanksgiving table. The sweetness goes great with savory. The next day I had the leftover with a savory onion/herb omelet and it was great. Total comfort food. Goes great with white wine. I think this side dish would go well with any meat dish, from beef & pork roasts to chicken, turkey and ham.

Even though I drained the can of whole corn it was extremely runny. It was also very bland. I won't make this again

I tried this on Thanksgiving and found this to be very tasty and easy to make. However, our table already had stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, rolls, etc., so this dish wasn't as popular as I had hoped. It seemed a bit too much for such a large feast. I believe it will be a big hit as a side dish to a regular meal, so will be making it again. Those who did try it said it was very good.
