I had these caor fritters years ago in high school.. I search for the recipe and never found anything like them until now.... THEY ARE GREAT everyone loves them. I have made them several times and no leftovers. I am a huge Paula fan and try all of her recipies and this is one of my favorites.

I thought these corn fritters were too sweet for a corn fritter. I'd rather have corn pudding or corn bread. The taste was good but after eating one the corn fritters were a bit overwhelming due to the sweetness. I could not eat a second one. These might be good for a picnic or potluck to eat as a side bread. I followed the recipe perfectly and mine corn fritters looked identical to the photo. The batter is a good recipe but would be better suited for a fruit fritter like apple, peach or even banana.

This was my first time frying anything, so I burt a couple, but they still tasted decent. I think the batter tasted great : but I thought the end product need a little bit more salt. Also, mine came out like patties, instead of nice littl balls. It was worth trying, but I probably wouldn't make them again.
