chocolate and nut lovers dream pie!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
Made this pie with my daughter last night after dinner. It was so easy and it smelled so good in the oven. I whipped cream... to garnish and we ate a piece right away. It was hot and very delicious. I didn't have the seif-rising flour, so I followed the other reviewers suggestion for baking powder and salt, it came out perfectly. My pies didn't overflow, they were perfect... Will be making again! I did bake for 60 minutes...Read more

So good! Don't let the other reviews scare you out of making this delicious pie. Add 10-15 minutes to the cook time. If you... like brownies this one is sure to please!Read more

Like a rich brownie... only better!

I didn't have self-rising flour, so I substituted with a recipe I found on the internet: 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1 and 1/4... teaspoons baking powder, 1/8 teaspoon salt, sifted WELL. I actually sifted twice just to be sure. Even if you have self-rising flour, I would sift it anyway. Anyway, I halved this recipe since there's no way I needed two pies (let alone 3!). Since some people mentioned that their pies overflowed in the oven, I left a little bit out of my 9-inch pie crust and put it in a ramekin and baked it at the same time. It is DELICIOUS with ice cream. I had to laugh a little when Paula put both whipped cream and ice cream on it during her show... :-)Read more

    Definitely just awful

I followed this to a "T" with adding baking time to 50 minutes as well since it was not done by recipe. I took it to a... family function and was disappointed with it. It was too dry, not fudgie and people did not care for it. I am known for my chocolate bakery desserts and this one failed. I am ashamed to have made this let alone to bring it to a function that I am known so well for great sweets.Read more

This is one of the easiest pies I've ever made and tastes wonderful. I serve it often as i own a small catering business that... I run mostly alone. So delicious simple to prepare food is a must. I often prepare it when i have no jobs that day and freeze for the future. Keep up the good work.Read more
