    This is a delicious and simple recipe. I made it for friends and as a thank you for a physician's office and they all wanted the recipe to make for their friends. It turned out exactly perfect. Thank you

    This pie was delicious! It tasted like a brownie: It did take a lot longer to get done than the recipe suggested. I think it took like an extra 20 min.! i will cook it again:

    After 40 min the pie was uncooked. I researched the recipe and on Paula's website the baking instructions said to bake 50-60 min not 30-40 min as indicated in this recipe.

    I LOVED this pie!! Yum. I've made a lot of Paula Dean's desserts now and this is one of my FAVORITES. I also added a little bit of bourbon to this pie after reading the comments. It was SO, SO good! It almost tasted like a brownie in a pie. This is a keeper, for sure.

    I just happen to see this episode recipe on a day I needed to make a dessert. WOW, am I so glad that I did! Easy, easy and everything right in my pantry! AND it makes two pies! Delicious, simple, quick and cooked perfect! I used the refigerated pie crusts. This will be my "go-to" dessert! Thank you Paula Deen!!!

    Excellent! Add the bourbon for a DERBY Pie (kwpugh remark After serving one of the pies... my brother went into the kitchen and wrapped the other pie up to take home. That was a compliment in itself. I used walnuts (didn't have pecans. Will make again and again.

    Cooked in deep dish pie shell for 50 minutes and it was too browned on top, raw in the middle, and the whole thing caved in as it began to cool. Taste is fine, but it looks a mess. Won't make again.

    This sounded and looked yummy. Would love to try it, but am allergic to the pecans. Any other suggestions on what to replace them with???

    Tasted just like a brownie. A little sweet. I should have known that by the amount of sugar. I had a deep dish pie pan and used a pre rolled pie crust. I did not used 2 pie pans, But it was very good w/ pecans. I loved the sweet pie with a little salty crust. Easy and really good. Kind of reminds me of Ina's brownie pudding with out the crust. But will for sure make this again.
