My 8 year old said- 'Mom is the best dessert chocolate pie cooker ever!' I may try peanuts next time only b/c my hubby doesn't like any other kind of nuts. SO easy and delicious. Definitely make the 2 b/c they'll be gone...

I made these pies last night. Sooooo good! 2 enthusiastic thumbs up from everyone in our family. Paula's recipes use common ingredients and are just so delicious!

I saw Paula do this the other day and I've been craving it ever since! Because of the hints everyone gave, I did make a few modifications to the recipe. First...I halved it...didn't need two pies. Used a 9-inch crust from freezer which I thawed while I prepped everything else. My chocolate chips were vegan, from Whole Foods, and when I microwaved them, they didn't quite melt down all the way (but in hindsight, I really, really like the bits of chocolate in the pie!. Used granulated fructose (works just like sugar, but my boyfriend is allergic to sugar cane, so we use this which was fine. Kept this the same amount as the sugar, and did NOT think it turned out too sweet. Lastly, I only filled my pie crust about 2/3 full, since so many said theirs overfilled when baking. Had a baking sheet underneath, just in case, which also had on it 3 greased ramekins with the extra batter. Baked for 45 minutes, pulled out ramekins, baked another 15, pulled out pie. HEAVENLY!!! Will definitely make this again! :

I made this for my family last night and I have to say, Paula - you did it again! It was so easy and so flavorful and we just really enjoyed it. I did tweak it a little - I only used 1 cup of sugar because 2 cups seems too much. Also, I used a combination of walnuts and pecans. It cooked beautifully. The first slice we ate by itself but after that we tried the ice cream and that just made it an explosion in your mouth! This will be our new family favorite and it's so cheap to make.

I made this dessert for Christmas dinner. My whole family loved this pie. I call it a brownie pie. It is even better with vanilla ice cream. Thanks Paula another home run.

this had to be the easiest pie i have ever made (although i did have to add about 10 mins to the baking time. it tastes like a delicious brownie in a pie crust, very rich and moist. with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, it is perfection. i brought it to a thanksgiving dinner and it was gone in minutes.i will definitely be making it again for christmas.

I was so excited to make this pie. After 40 minutes I pulled it out of the oven to find that it was not cooked at all. I added 10 more minutes and it was still not right. The top was perfect but inside was still not done. Very disappointed!!!

I really liked the flavor of this pie. I did also have to increase the baking time to 60 minutes. My pies rised well in the oven, but caved in after taking them out. I found that if you wait for about an hour to cut the pie, it will be set enough to eat, otherwise it will be to loose. Is there something I am doing wrong that the pies are caving? I followed the recipe exactly. Paula's pies did not looked caved in on the show.

I found this pie to be way too sweet. Enough to make your teeth hurt. If you do serve it, I suggest vanilla ice cream and very small slices. This is one Thanksgiving where I'll stop at one slice of pie.
