I was conerned about the cakes falling apart. Here's what I did, and I didn't have any problems: I increased the Ritz cracers to 2/3 cup, formed the cakes using a 1/3 cup measuring cup and froze them for 1/2 hour. I dredged them in flour and returned them to the freezer for another 1/2 hour. When I was ready to fry, I dreged them again. They turned out perfect! I also used claw meat, but that was just an economic consideration.

I was a little hesitant to sway from my regular crab cake recipe...but I decided to give this one a try. I was very pleasantly surprised...but I did pay close attention to the other reviewers comments. I also found the texture to be a little too wet...so I added a few more Ritz crackers. Also, I decided to use only 1/4 cup of finely diced green pepper and added 1/4 cup of finely diced fresh parsley. I was very happy with the results. I used lump back-fin crabmeat. The food critic in my home (my husband loved them!

This recipe was wonderful..I didn't change anything. As others have noted, they will fall apart if you don't cook them long enough before turning the first time. Otherwise, excellent recipe. I made the Lemon Dill Sauce from the other crab cake recipe and it was perfect! I would definately recommend.

They are easy to make ad taste wonderful!! The only thing I change was add some Tony Chachere's Cajun Spice to it to spice it up a little.

These are incredible. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5stars is that I think it needs about half the green pepper the recipe calls for (and I like green pepper. Still, superb - thanks, Paula!
