The best crab cakes with just enough kick. Wonderful sauce that does not over power the crab

Wow, these crab cakes are the BEST that I have ever had! They are wonderful for a spring or summer dinner with salad sides.

I made these for my husband and myself last week. I LOVE crab cakes and order them often in restaurants. These were awesome! I was so proud of myself for making such good crab cakes! My husband loved them too! Now when we want crab cakes we'll just make them and save the money!!! Thanks Paula!!! Lisa - Dayton

    1. I wasnt going to make the sauce, but decided to at the last minute. GLAD I DID!! It was great!
    2. I used cilantro instead of parsely and I think it gave it an extra umpf, for lack of a better word.
    3. Something in the recipe is missing...while it's an excellent crab cake, I enjoyed more of a crab mess than a cake. The first batch stayed somewhat together, but the second batch was just a mess.

Overall, fantastic crabe wanna-be cakes. And the sauce is the perfect complement!

Very good and easy to prepare. I even used imitation crab meat and it worked excellent also.

This recipe was not as easy as I thought it would have been, but the results were great. A little too spicy even for me but when I tried them with the sauce it cooled the palate perfectly.

Crab cakes always appeared to be overwhelming to me to even attempt, but I must tell you that this recipe was the BOMB! It was so easy and incredibly tasty. I found some delicious lovely lump crabmeat in the grocery store and could not believe how simple this was. I can see how they may be inclined to falling apart, but I believe refigerating them helped. My husband was floored at how good they were and the sauce was the perfect way to finish them off. Thanks Paula!

These were the best crab cakes I have ever tried, let alone made - confirmed by my friends and guests. Also, the sauce is superb. I would only make a few extra patties for practice - I ruined the first two because it takes a few minutes to understand how to flip them when fryng without breaking them. And, they may require a little more than two hours to become firm, but regardless of that - they are absolutely delicious!
