I am from the Eastern Shore of Maryland and I have eaten many crab cakes. This recipe is by far the best I have ever had. They were delicious!

The blend of flavors, and the dill sauce, made for the most perfect crab cakes we've ever had. We used freshly caught blue claw crabs from our local waters in NJ that we steamed, but will try purchased crab in the off season with hopefully as delicious a result.

This is a great recipe. Easy to prepare and tasty! I added a little more crab and bread crumbs and squeezed some lemon into crab cake mix. It was a huge hit with my in-laws!

I make crab cakes quite a bit so I consider myself very picky. These crab cakes were VERY good. The only thing I would change is adding a little more "zing" to it. I recommend adding a little more cayenne pepper or your favorite hot sauce. The "zing" with the cool delicious lemon-dill sauce would be a great pairing.

Okay...so, I broke my own #1 recipe rule with this one. I did not prepare these exactly as the recipe stated. I made a few alterations with similar ingredients. (In my own defense, I decided to make these at the last minute and chose to use what I had on hand. Instead of green onion, I used chives. For the pepper, I used (1 jarred roasted red pepper along with chopped pickled jalapenos. These substitutions actually made the prep work easier as there was no pre-sauteing necessary. I also used 1/2 & 1/2 instead of heavy cream. As for the sauce, I just added a little of the chives. Let me just say that these were some of the best crab cakes my husband and I have ever had. And believe me, he is picky about his crab cakes. Both the cakes and the sauce were delicious. We will definately be making this again.

The receipe was easy to follow, I added
an extra egg, it looked like a lot of crab meat. It stayed in its patty shape
really well and was done when the receipe said. We put it on a bun and put the dill sauce on the cake. I found
the crabcakes sorta bland, but I liked it, I don't like spicy food. I didn't try the sauce, but hubby said it was good.

Good crab cakes - I didn't love them as I do most of Paula's recipes. Maybe the sauce was a necessary component? (Could not make because my boyfriend will not eat mayo.

Wow. Just wow. I used fresh crab meat for this recipe (VERY important. Grilling took a little longer than specified. Make sure oil is hot enough. TAsted great with Horseradish fish sauce.

these were wonderful crab cakes. They needed a bit more lemon, so I added some to the batter. They turned out great.
