    I don't know what is better - this recipe or reading some of the reviews. "Anonymous" who wants us to know he can't review this recipe because he doesn't know how to print (thanks for sharing or "JED FROM TULSA" who can't read where it CLEARLY STATES "season to taste" (I know men don't ask for directions -didn't know they didn't read them either.Regardless, would any sane person think you were supposed to add 1 c salt and 1/4c pepper for 10 mushroom caps?!

    Anyway, this recipe was awesome. I basically stuck to the recipe but substituted chopped spinach for parsley and added 1 T of mayo. Also I sauteed the mushrooms in olive oil a few minutes before filling.

    YUMM!!!

    I HOPE NO ONE ELSE MAKES HIS MISTAKE. HE PUT THE ENTIRE BATCH OF HOUSE SEASONING IN THE CRAB MIX. HE DIDN'T REALIZE YOU JUST SEASON IT A LITTLE WITH THE HOUSE SEASONING AND PUT THE REST AWAY. MUST NOT HAVE SEEN THE SHOW OR EVER MADE ONE OF EMERIL'S RECIPES CALLING FOR "BAM".

    The best stuffed mushrooms I ever had. The flavor is perfect. Although I brushed butter on the tops instead of cooking spray. Turned out better than expected!

    This was the best recipe. The mushrooms I bought were huge and I stuffed it to the gills just like Paula does and it was Wonderfully divine!
    Cooked it just as the recipe followed, for best results.. :

    If one omits the bread crumbs and uses non fat or low fat cream cheese, these yummy mushrooms are legal on the South Beach or Atkins diets. I used canned lump crabmeat and made half the recipe. I used jumbo white mushrooms and ended up with a baker's dozen to use up all the filling. They were the hit of the Valentine's Day dinner. I served them as a side dish alongside salmon, asparagus, a bleu cheese green salad, and strawberry tart. Hubby didn't notice I had no potatoes or starch. Wonderful and wonderfully easy!
