Was debating if I should try this or not. I am glad that I did. I need to walk away from the oven before it's all gone and the guest doesn't get any. This is wonderful. I have never made stuffed mushrooms before and this came out PERFECT. I used the Panko Bread crumbs much crunchier. Everything was marvelous! I will certainly be doing this again.

I know these as Mushrooms Neptune. I add Worcestershire and bake in escargot dishes ( or Small cupcake pans each hole has a bit of butter in them before I put the mushrooms in. Yummy!

Delicious! After Alton Brown, Paula is my favorite cook to take recipes from. Her food is always so hearty and satisfying--when I take the time to really cook (i.e. doing something other than grilling steaks/chicken/burgers or making something simple like spaghetti that's what I want! My only issue with these is that they don't reheat particularly well. I make these for Thanksgiving and Christmas using small mushrooms so that they're more of a bite-sized appetizer. Even some of my family members who aren't particularly fond of seafood like these because the crab meat is so mild and sweet. I make variations to the recipe when the mood strikes (adding spinach being a particular favorite and they've never disappointed me or my guests!

Prepared these for my boyfriend's birthday dinner as an appetizer, and he absolutely loved them. They were delicious. I followed the recipe exactly as is, and they came out wonderful. Served them with some lemon wedges, which was great.

I liked this as did my whole family. It has a very nice taste to it. The only thing I added was the addition of the horseradish sauce that I picked up from other reviewers here. It gives it a spicier taste. We also used small Portabello caps and fresh garlic.
I'll definitely use this recipe again!

I have tried more complicated recipies for crab stuffed mushrooms and been succesful, but my husband and children like these the best. I think the cream cheese and parm. are the key. I add a little old bay to mine and sprinkle with grated romano. Thanks Paula, your the bast!

OMG, this recipe was very good and tasty. I added lobster and fresh garlic, omitted the breadcrumbs & onion. After stuffing mushrooms I put cooked bacon on top, added non stick spray and baked as directed. A keeper!!!
