I love this recipe like many others I too twicked the recipe. I use old bay season since I am using crab meat it enhances the seafood flavor and I use monetery jack and colby cheese. Also the smaller mushrooms.
They are always a hit. thanks Paula

I read the recipe, read the reviews, and took some ideas from everybody. I used the chive cream cheese, added a little horseradish, ranch dressing, and pepperjack / mozzarella cheese to the mixture. I stuffed button mushrooms with the mixture and baked about 10 min longer to cook the mushrooms and melt the cheeses. I had some leftover mixture so I spread over some toasted English muffin halves and put them under the broiler until browned. AWESOME!!!

This was a great, quick recipe. Pair this with a salad and you are done and have satisfied your family with a nice meal. I used giant white mushrooms and light cream cheese, and it turned out great. No salt addition necessary.

I made these following the directions, but just added my own salt, pepper and garlic powder. I had 12 large white mushrooms and I had enough filling for probably 24. I squeezed a little fresh lemon over mine - after cooking - and it was excellent. Another idea might be to add a bit of horseradish. I cooked these an extra five minutes. I will use the leftover filling tomorrow night - after I buy more mushrooms. I would definitely serve this to company with optional lemon and horseradish.

I had to tweek this a little bit. Living in a small town somtimes you can't find the right crab meat. I used tiny shrimp in a can. Put them in my processor until it was fine and then mixed in with my mixture. It was really really good! My friends ask for this all the time!

This recipe was great! I used chive cream cheese, real crab leg meat, extra green onions and some freshly-graded Parm on the tops. Better than at most restaurants. I used smaller mushrooms since I wanted to make them look like appetizers and not be so overwhelming. They make a lot, and they tasted excellent! I will definitely keep this recipe around!

These mushrooms were pretty good, the filling wasn't very hot out of the oven. I would make them again though I think I will warm up the filling before stuffing it in the mushroom and putting it in the oven.
