This recipe is absolutely delicious and so easy. My brother-in-law ate so many on Thanksgiving that he was ready to burst! They upstaged the Turkey. I've made these to bring to other parties but just cut the crust off of the bread then cut them into 4 triangles to make them as mini appetizers. They also taste pretty darn good when room temperature too! I keep the ingredients on hand at all times for a quick and easy snack for unexpected company.

I made these for a New Year's Eve party and they were a hit. I made a few substitutions though. Instead of the bread I used toasted english muffins and I also added about 1/4 tsp of Old Bay Seasoning. The end result tasted exactly like deviled crab, "crab cakes". I would definately make these again. So easy. I made ahead and frozen and just baked minutes before quests arrived.

The taste is really good, I just needed to add more Cheese and I did not toast the bread before hand.

Loved this recipe. I might use a tiny bit less butter. Sorry Paula!

I used french bread I toasted and it worked fine. I couldn't find the cheddar horseradish cheese spread so I used a cheddar cheese spread and added horseradish to it. I didn't measure it, but next time I will use more horseradish. Just don't toast the bread too much before you add the spread. It will toast more in the oven. Everyone really enjoyed these.

I've been making her crab cake burgers for years. I've been to her restaurant twice, her brother's once and even taken her cooking class. So I know my Paula Deen.
I live in the midwest where seafood is hard to come by. I use BUMBLE BEE WHITE CRAB MEAT. Works wonderful.

I used crab and lobster with a touch of sherry. This was such a hit with family and friends. Thanks Paula!

I was so excited about making these little crabbies because I think Paula is an awesome chef. However, I was disappointed! They just weren't that tasty to me or my guests.
