This was a delicious recipe though the directions were a bit confusing. The recipe calls for "dried cranberries" that are then "ground." To me, dried cranberries are craisins, but then grinding them didn't make sense. I used fresh cranberries and an 8 ounce can of pineapple. I also used sugar-free jello. The result was fantastic! It's attractive on a plate and is nice as part of a holiday buffet whether you choose turkey, ham or beef.

GREAT recipe Paula! I served as desert though and had a lot of compliments. I also threw in some extra fruit I had in leftover and it still came out great. Also, I didn't add any sugar in the recipe as it was definitely sweet enough. i feel as though I served a very healthy and delicious desert.

i'M HAVING A LITTLE TROUBLE THINKING THAT YOU USE CRANRAISINS INSTEAD OF FRESH CRANBERRIES IN THIS RECIPE. i DIDN'T SEE IT MADE BUT ALL THE OTHER RECIPES I HAVE SEEN OR MADE CALL FOR FRESH. SINCE THE CRANRAISINS ARE SO SWEET AS IS THE JELLO, WHY WOULD YOU ADD MORE SUGAR???

I just love this recipe from Paula!! My family is not a cranberry salad eating family at anytime let alone Thanksgiving! Last year I came across Paula's recipe for this and thought I would try one more cranberry recipe for my family to hate...low and behold they loved it minus the nuts...I couldn't believe it!! And it is so quick and easy to make I just love it!! Thank You Paula!!

I had this in Paula's restaurant and LOVED it. But when I tried it at home, it was not the same. I used Cranraisins, which must not be what I should have used.

I liked this salad better than my husband did, although is fairness, he isn't too wild about jello salads. I did find the directions a little weird, though. Why would you wait to add the sugar to the cooled jello if you want it to be dissolved? Also, I used a large package of sugar-free gelatin and doubled the amount of pineapple and juice. I can't imagine this serving 8 people if it is made as written.

Tried this recipe with sugar free jello (1 raspberry and 1 cherry wonderful!
I have never liked cranberry stuff for any meal but his definitely changed my mind. Watched Paula make it and thought what the heck....best move in the kitchen I've made in a long time.
Everyone loved it, with 10 people for Christmas lunch, only a quarter of it was left with request for the recipe.
Thanks Paula and I hope to see you in Tunica, MS on 12-27!

I made this with sugar free jello (use the equivalent package - .35ozand it was great! Definitely more of a salad than a dessert; however, in order to make it a dessert just remove the nuts.
