everyone loved this pound cake. I didn't have the plums and will try them next time but the cake gets a 5 star rating whether the plums turn out good or not! I will also experiment with other flavors. Great recipe. I should add that I have made this 3x now and I have to cook it longer than stated in the recipe, more like 1 hour and 20-25 min. My thermostat is accurate

I must have done something wrong with this recipe, because I don't find it to be very good. Texture is not what I was looking for. Not like her grandmother's pound cake recipe. I used all the ingredients that were listed, the texture came out "crisp" and not the fine crumb I was hoping for. Will go back to the wonderful other pound cake recipe of hers.

AMAZING pound cake! I was so excited to make this cake after watching the show. I just made the cake (no plums and it was delicious plain. My only comment is that it needed to cook longer than the time given. Scrumptious!

This cake turned out very nice and tasted wonderful. I am known for baking all kinds of layer cakes so understanding cake recipes I left out some butter & decreased the sugar and the cake was fine. I added lemon zest, increased lemon extract to 1 teaspoon & made a lemon glaze instead of grilled plums. I was so excited I couldn't wait for the cake to cool so I had a slice warm it was so good. My mother loves anything lemon which was why I bumped up the lemon flavor.

I made this for Valentine's Day, it came out fantastic. I did add orange zest and some of that orange's juice. The added flavor was great. I also made a fresh blueberry and blueberry jam hot compote to add on top (from Melissa DeArabian this came out fantastic as well. I gave some to one of our neighbors as well to enjoy and they loved it too. Once again Paula, Jamie and Bobby thank you for your great recipes. Kathy

Made it yesterday.wonderful and enough for 2 rectangular pans so I could freeze one. Added some vanilla and orange zest to jazz it up.

Beautifully moist and tasty pound cake. Really easy to make. I used low fat cream cheese and it turned out perfectly. I'd definately recommend this recipe.

This recipe was a lot of fun! I have never baked anything from scratch before and I just wanted to make a pound cake for Christmas. It was a big hit!! Everyone loved it and I had to make another three cakes for New Years! I made a few minor changes because I am a bit of a health nut. I used Reduced fat cream cheese and cut the sugar down to 2.5 cups.
