I liked it better with sage pork sausage. I used less onions, too.

Love this recipe, especially with the cooked onions. A great add on is add chopped Canadian bacon inside and instead of potato chips (after cooked tastes like old grease add crumbled corn flakes. There is no greasy taste and ends up with a nice crunchy crust. Love this!

This is one of my familys favorites I practicaly have to make it weekly! I replace the cream of celery with either cream of chicken or mushroom. You can also turn it into a main dish by adding grilled chicken cubed up into the casserole. Guaranteed this recipe will be in my family for years to come!

I just recently tried this recipe and it is incredible. I made it for my family of 3 and the entire platter was eaten to every last bite! The only thing I would change is maybe a Little less sour cream and add some ham or bacon. Other then that, it a very tasty dish!

I've made this a few times and have enjoyed it a lot. It can be used as a base for a lot of variations. The addition of cubed ham or cooked country sausage takes it over the top. It's also can be changed with the used of sauted bell peppers, cayenne pepper or just about any flavorful ingredient.

This is a great recipe....the second time I made it I used Southwestern flavored hashbrowns to give it a little kick! Great recipe and easy!

This recipe is very easy and flavorful.

The first time I made it, I used the potato chips.

But since then, I omit that ingredient because the texture and flavor of the potato chips changes when you eat the casserole for leftovers.

Also, for more flavor, I add just a little bit more butter and garlic powder than what the recipe calls for.

I just remembered that the last time that I made this casserole, I added bacon.

The bacon made it even more delicious.

This is a great recipe as a base.... in my opinion it does need more flavor. Maybe some hot sauce? Paula has so many more flavorful recipes, I will not be saving this one.

I added 1 tsp. of dried thyme leaves and 1 Tbsp. of adobo seasoning (not the sauce that chipotle chiles come in. Now THAT was flavor. My wife asked me not to make this ever again because she said: "I can't stop eating it. I have no self-control!" It is TERRIFIC!

This recipe had no flavor at all!! There was way too much sour cream. I was thinking of possibly reducing the amount of sour cream and maybe adding ham cubes or shredded chicken to it to give it some more flavor. Easy recipe but very bland and boring.
