I made this recipe and used all of the ingredients and 4oz. of melted velveta cheese. I cooked in the oven at 350 for 45 minutes. Last 5 minutes I topped with frenches onions and bacon...Yummy

This macaroni was creamy and tasty. It was easy to just put in the crock pot, leave alone, and eat when ready. I will definitely make it again.

This is the perfect recipe for making mac and cheese when you have a lot of other things to do and you need something easy and tasty.

As with all slow cooker recipes, the actual cook time will depend on your cooker. Some cook faster than others. Regardless, for this recipe, it's about cooking it until it fits your taste. Three hours is perfect for me, but some may want to cook it for less time for a creamier result.

According to Paula, the eggs are optional, though it isn't indicated in the recipe. If you leave out the eggs, the final product will be more creamy, if you add the eggs, you'll get a firmer, texture.

Whatever your preference, this recipe will give you a great result.

Oh, one thing missing for this recipe: 1/2 c of the cheese should be reserved for topping the mac and cheese the last 30 min. of cooking.

I sure wish I had read the reviews before making this. I did cook it on "Low" but it sure didn't need 3 hours and the results were curdled! Paula should revise the recipe. It still taste good but it doesn't look as good as hers on the show. Good thing I have an understanding husband! Paul should definitely revise the recipe on this website.

My husband and I love watching Paula Dean and decided to try this recipe. I was really looking forward to having so me good mac and cheese, but unfortunately, that is not what we got. It was very dry and had a curdled texture. Threw it all in the trash.

I wish I would have read everyone's reviews BEFORE I made this. The cook time of 3 hours is definitely too long. Mine was not creamy but had a curdled texture. The taste was good but I was really looking for a nice rich and creamy finish. With all the yummy ingredients in the recipe, I knew it would be rich! I will definitely try this again and shorten the time and cook on low. It must work because there are many more good reviews than bad. PAULA needs to adjust her recipe. Also, I wonder what would happen if you put uncooked macaroni in the sauce and cooked it that way.

My first attempt on thanksgiving of making baked mac & cheese was a very bland accomplishment. I decided after seeing this recipe and being in love with my slow cooker to give it a try. Wow.. it was amazing. The smell that this dish created was incredible and the taste was by far the best Mac & Cheese I've ever had. No box could do what this dish did for me and my baby.
