I've made several mac and cheese and this is by far on the top of my list. I've past it along to my family and friends and they all love it. It's a treat for us during the holidays because it's god awful for you. Anyhow, I don't change to much. I like 2 eggs better than 3 and I use fat free milk instead of whole.

Made this yesterday and it was sooooo good..I have two of the most picky eaters tht only eat mac n cheese with velveeta...and they loved it..I didnt add the eggs after seeing the other reviews but i did add onion and garlic powder. The taste was amazing just like my grandma use to make!

This recipe is awesome! I've been making it for about two years now and it's always great! You really can't mess it up! I know some people have a problem with the butter/cheese mixture not being smooth enough and to combat this I add a little a little bit of the milk to the butter and that seems to help (and make sure you're using REAL butter not margarine. I also omit the eggs, they really don't make much of a difference, and I add some pan-seared turkey kielbasa as well as a touch of real mustard instead of mustard powder, they both add soooo much more flavor!

My kids are crazy for this mac and cheese though I omit all of the eggs. I have been asked repeatedly to make it for pot lucks and gatherings and it is always gone!

This recipe was easy to make but was so god awful I had to through it away. I couldn't eat it myself so I sure wasn't going to serve it to my guests.

Made this as per the recipe using grated cheese and adding garlic salt. Next time I will cook for 2 hours not 3. At the 2 hour point it looked/tasted perfectly fine but because it was my first time making it I wanted to follow the recipe cooking recommendation. At 3 hours it looked as if it had separated although the taste remained fine. Good recipe. I will make again with modified time.

I followed the recipe but substituted cream for the milk. It looked perfect for the first three hours, but then it separated. It tasted pretty good, but it had oily butter. Next time, I will try substituting evaporated milk which has been boiled and should not separate.

Too much egg for me & not enough flavor. Too plain & not enough taste. You can still eat it & it can taste just fine but it's just not that exciting.
