The best mac and cheese I ever had was at Paula Deen's Restaurant in Savannah. This recipe was just about as good. My only complaint was that mine turned out very dry. I'm not sure if I just cooked it too long or it was the eggs. I only cooked it for a little over an hour and used only 2 eggs. It was still delicious! We scarfed down the whole casserole in one meal. No leftovers here. Next time I'm leaving out the eggs and watching my cook time more closely. Thanks Paula for another wonderful recipe!

Yummy! This was my husband's favorite dish today! I omitted the eggs. Cooked in less time, but I just kept it on warm.

This is a great recipe! I added garlic and some cayenne pepper for more taste. Thanks Paula! I haven't been able to make mac and cheese with so much flavor! I'm using it for part of my Holiday meal.

I made this Mac and Cheese in my slow cooker for dinner tonight. I went by the recipe but the only difference was, I added a little more cheese to the sauce. Never can have enough cheese, right Paula? Oh and I also added some heat to it by adding a little Cayenne powder. This will become a family favorite and will make it every time we have Mac and Cheese from now on. My husband didn't like Mac and Cheese until he married me, now he loves it.

This recipe is amazing! I did not use the eggs since Mrs. Paula said they could be left out. I have a big crock pot that cooks kind of hot, especially when it's not completely full, so it only took about 1.5 hours for mine to cook but it came out SO wonderfully!
It was very creamy and cheesy. It's kiddo friendly (My 2 year old and 4 year old LOVED it. They scarfed it down and asked for more but sophisticated enough to be adult friendly too. My husband and I also really enjoyed it.
My DD is turning 5 in February and we're doing a Mac & Cheese bar at her party. I've been looking for a good crock pot recipe so it could be prepared ahead of time without being gross that would also be enjoyed by kids. THIS IS THE WINNER! Thank you Paula! We love it!

This is the tastiest mac and cheese ever! even my stepson who is extremely picky loved it, he wants me to make it for some of his soccer and indoor track parties. : I did not use the crock pot, I baked it in the oven instead and it was deelish!!

I LOVE this mac and cheese! Made it for a bbq not only did it take a lot of the last minute prep away but everyone at the party thought it was great!
