I made this recipe last night and after adding some additional seasoning, it was good. I couldn?t find fish stock, so I used seafood stock instead, which worked well. I used fresh raw shrimp and let them cook in the bisque and I also used a yellow onion (didn?t have green onions. I made the recipe as instructed and found the taste bland. Once I added the additional seasoning (salt, pepper, etc, it turned out really well. I?ll probably make again and try adding some crabmeat.

I have not made this recipe yet, but to make shrimp stock, or fish stock of any kind, all you need to do it boil the shells or bones with some aromatics for 30 minutes. The best shrimp is one you peel yourself, so you are already halfway there, plus they are cheaper and never have the sodium that the store-bought ones do.

I used seafood stock which was hard to find even from specialty stores. I added lump crab meat and some old bay seasoning to bring out the flavor. For the non-cookers, you have to experience with seasonings to get it to the right flavor you want it to be because everyone's taste buds are different. This recipe was easy to make and everyone loved it!! Paula has never steered me wrong!!!!!

I decided to try making this bisque after my husband and I watched Paula make it on her show yesterday. I also had a problem finding FISH STOCK. I ended up using a low sodium vegetable stock instead and it was perfect. I also used a regular onion instead of green onions and that tasted good too! The bisque turned out very creamy and both my husband and I enjoyed it! The only complaint I would have is that I felt that I had to add a lot of salt to the soup to give it some flavor. Overall, it was a good and quick dinner and I would definitely make it again!

I made this for the first time when I had my daughter and her new boyfriend over for dinner . Pretty nervy of me Huh!! It was a hit with every one!! I made it 2 weeks ago and am making it again already. My daughter of course wants me to save her some. Its so easy and has a great taste. I wrote the recipe down while watching Paula's show(thats how easy it is! I didn't go to the site so I didn't have any problems. Like another reviewer I could not find fish stock and used seafood stock. It's probably the same anyway. I certainly would not rate the recipe badly just because of a error on line with the recipe. When I saw the low rating I was sooo surprised. That just tells me when I look at a recipe not to pay attention to the stars!!!!

This dish came out excellent. My husband LOVED it! It was gone all gone in just one night. I didn't have green onions so I used shallots and extra parsley. Came out great though.

Didn't even try this recipe because the show was completely different from what's shown here. The stock was added after the flour in the show and according to this recipe the stock was later added. Does anyone at FoodNetwork read and watch this these recipes?

This was a very nice, thick, very rich bowl of bisque. It was very delicious and creamy. It would seem if you were to add some cubed potatoes and clams instead of the shrimp, it would be the best bowl of clam chowder ever. Highly reccommend this recipe. It was easy to make and very rewarding to serve to my guests. It was a winner all the way around.
