This has been by far one of my favorite Paula's recipes. I've always wanted to learn how to prepare this dessert, one of my favorites. The taste is above the ones I had had in very fancy restaurants. Thanks, Paula for your love and best dishes!

This recipe is delicious every time! Instead of using the vanilla bean I use 1 Tbsp real vanilla extract and it comes out great.

The is such an easy and delicious recipe! I did add 2 vanilla beans just to add some more vanilla flavor, but other than that i left the recipe alone and it was fabulous.I suggest leaving it in the refrigerator overnight so it has time to set and get really thick and creamy. I've made it about 4 or 5 times and it comes out perfect every time!

An easy modification to this recipe, try adding the zest of one orange. Very refreshing.

This was sooo yummy-and so easy! Yes, I too made some alterations- 1 cup heavy, 1 cup light cream and also just used vanilla extract. I will be making this elegant dessert in my home more often!

This is the easiest, most delicious creme brulee ever! Just like another review says, it tastes so much better than that from a restaurant. Oh yeh, I will no longer have to go out to eat just to request this for dessert. I have been looking for an easy recipe like this for ages. Thank you so much Paula! Yum, yum, yum!!!

I think this recipe is amazing!!! Easy to make, and very delicius! I cut some strawberries, added sugar and poured over the top of the creme brulee after torching it... Could not ask for a better result!

This recipe tastes great, but i can't ever get the broiling right. I now use a flambe kit from dessertsnowdotcom & it comes out perfect every time. No torching & great aromas

This is the best creme brulee recipe EVER! The only modifications I made were to be sure to scrape the seeds out of the vanilla bean after it is steeped in the cream. I also added about 1/2 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract to bump up the vanilla flavor. I've prepared this for many people over many occasions and have been told by these people that they can no longer eat creme brulee in a restaurant because it just doesn't compare to this recipe.

Not a big fan of Paula, but this recipe is wonderful. I used whipping cream, not heavy cream. Custard set just fine. It is supposed to be a creamy, thick-liquid texture. This is not flan! I love it because the custard is not too sweet, and the sweetness is left up to the fabulously crunchy sugar crust. Tried both light brown and white sugar. I liked the white sugar better. Couldn't be simpler to make.
