    Made these for a Holiday party. Used chopped up Andes instead of the Andes baking chips. They were hard to cut through but sooo worth it. EVERYONE who tried them complimented them and/or asked for the recipe. I'm sure I'll be making them often, for myself and at the request of all my friends.

    These had a really great mint flavor, but the texture was a bit too dense for my taste. The brownies were also pretty crumbly. I would've preferred a lighter, moister brownie. Based on reviews that said the Andes chips can taste a little chalky, I used chopped Andes Candies. I allowed them to cool completely before cutting, and they were still difficult to cut and several of them fell apart. All in all, we'll definitely eat the batch, but I'd look for another recipe if I wanted to make mint chocolate brownies again.

    I work at a culinary resort and tried this recipe for the first time as part of a Sweet Tooth Smackdown competition designed to raise money for our annual United Way campaign....and, I won in the "bar" portion of the competition! I've had so many people ask for the recipe. Thank you, Paula Deen! The only substitute that I had to do was the Andes mint baking chips - couldn't find these in the grocery store so I just cut up Andes mint candies and these worked just fine. This will now be my new "go-to" brownie recipe for the holidays.

    Thank you Ms. Deen, I'll love you forever,(smile I realize now why you always have a smile on your face.Your Creme De Menthe Brownies are the best,and they turned out to perfection..That's it, I'm hooked. My daughter wants to have a brownie bake off..(tee-hee and shes the baker in family! I now have the confidence to see whats the next in the recipe box.

    PAULA YOU ARE DA BOMB!!!!! OMG amazingggggggggg. I put 8oz of mints because the packets came in 4oz and it was PERFECT. If you don't like the mint taste add chucks of chocolate and it will be just as amazing.

    DELICIOUS! I've been making these every Christmas since I first saw Paula make this recipe a few years ago. SOOO yummy! If you could imagine those thin mint Girl Scouts cookies in brownie form, that is EXACTLY what these are!!

    these were my first attempt at a homemade brownie-- they were simple, and REALLY good! the store i went to did not have mint chips, so i grabbed a bag of chocolate/peanut butter chips and they were awesome; turned out just lovely. will definitely make them again and highly recommend!
