Just haven't figured out what "shaved mint thins" are. I tried grounding up some of the andes candies - that didn't seem quite right. Then I tried grounding up hard mint candies. That was a disaster as after a day, all the shavings congealed together to form a kind of pink paste. For the 3rd time I make these, I won't top it with anything and then it'll be perfect.

This was a great recipe but it was a little too sweet/rich. Try putting a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top to cut the sweetness. Very time consuming unwrapping the mints - add to prep time. Was a very good recipe overall.

My entire family loved these brownies. I must say they are very moist and very minty, a little piece goes a long way. They are definetely a family favorite and I'm sure my boys will ask for them often.

I thought these were wonderful. I couldn't find the baking chips so I used one box of mints and roughly chopped them into small bits. I also swirled a litlle chocolate syruup through the top of the batter before baking. Brownies came out moist and flavorful. Frosting was wonderful and not too sweet. I used four reserved mints to shave pieces over the top. Beautiful! Thanks, Paula!

I am not a fan of brownies because they always seem to be very heavy. Although there are two sticks of butter in the batter alone (another stick in the frosting, these are the lightest and most delicious brownies I have ever had. They were the hit of my NYE gathering and everyone asked for the recipe.
It is easy to make and even easier to eat!

A very easy to follow recipe for some fantastic brownies. After a busy holiday season I was ready to make something quick and non-cookie like. These were excellent, got rave reviews, and tasted delicious days later as left overs.

this was sooo yummy. it is a very rich dessert, so the good thing is you can't eat a lot of it. also, it takes some time to unwrap all of the anyds mints, so add that into your preparation time.

Like a previous poster, the show used the mints whole, the recipe called for them to be chopped. I rough-chopped them using a fork. The brownie did come out a little dry but had a great taste. Dont think I would frost them in future; a little powdered sugar dusting is good. The frosting was too much for the brownie.
