A favorite every holiday. The chips are hard to find so I always substitute with 2 boxes of Andes mints and simply chop them up saving about 5 mints to use for sprinkling on top. I'm not sure what other reviewers mean by "chalky". These brownies are fudgy and chocolatey and so very yummy. But they are pretty dense.

I saw the show while wrapping a present for a birthday, I had an hour to kill so I went to make the brownies with my son for the party. I didn't have any andes mints so I just used chocolate chips. The brownies were so good. Everyone at the party loved them! I topped the brownies with pecans and chocolate shreds. Will make again! YUMMY!

These brownies are a perfect holiday treat. I used 7oz of the andes mints instead of 10 based on the recommendation in another review. This was a perfect amount - not overwhelming. Couldn't find the chips so chopped the mint squares in the food processor. Store bought chocolate frosting also works as a quick substitute.

Not bad, but the creme de menthe baking chips are next to impossible to find. I had to order several packages online just to make this recipe.

Followed recipe to the T. Tasted like a minty, chalky stick of butter rolled in cocoa powder. Sorry Paula, I normally love your recipes, but this one was a real dud....way too much butter, not enough balance in flavors.

I followed the recipe exactly and I was not pleased with the results. The mint chips were very "chaulky" and not moist. the brownies were actually very crumbly. My husband loved them though, and he isn't even a fan of mint. My daughter and I are, but we will not be making this version again.

This is an AWESOME holiday dessert great for chocolate lovers, but be warned, it's SUPER rich and chocolaty. In the future, I may add mint extract, because I feel this recipe hides a lot of the mint in the creme de menthe candies.

    Delicious, moist, fudgy, minty goodness.
