I made cookies with these baking chips and they were good, but I can't wait to try this, I think it would taste so much better in a brownie... Can't wait to make it!!

I made these brownies for my Christmas Party and they were a HUGE hit! My boyfriend who is EXTREMELY picky about EVERYTHING raved about the brownies and as people came over, the first thing he said was "Come in, grab a drink, and try a brownie because theyre AWESOME!!" LOL

I didn't use the mint because I made mint cookies, so instead I used DULCE DE LECHE cocoa from TARGET (comes in a silver can by Archer Farms and instead of using milk, I used Hazelnut flavored coffee creamer and it came out SO GOOD! I just made the icing again to use for cupcakes!

I made these as part of Christmas goodie baskets for gifts this year. THEY WERE FANTASTIC! I agree with the other comments: you definitely need the frosting. It is an extremely rich recipe, but it is so delicious anyway!

These are so good, you can't just have one.You definitely need to use the frosting recipe with it. Don't use some other frosting. The frosting is so creamy. The andes candies is only available at Walmart, so don't try to shop around. These were a huge hit for my work Christmas Party. Try this recipe and you'll know why you can't have just one. Thanks Paula

I will never make these again unless they are to bring to someones house! That is how good they are. The only problem was finding the mint chips. I subsituted them with two boxes of Andes candys chopped up. It worked just fine, the mint flavor was not to overpowering. The brownies were moist and delicous, the frosting made each bite perfect. The hard part was not eating to many. Great job Paula!

So amazing! I made them for a football party and everyone loved them! They taste just like Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies!

I made these brownies for Christmas, substituting chopped Andes mints for the creme de menthe chips since my local store was out. They were delicious and received rave reviews. The mint is not overpowering and pairs very well with the chocolate. I'm glad I gave most away or I would have eaten way too many!

I love thick, fudgy brownies, but these were not like that. I followed the directions exactly, but I ended up with dry, crumbly brownies and a frosting that didn't spread well at all. I was surprised that it said to use melted butter, not softened. It would have been better to make a glaze instead of this mess. Sadly disappointed in this one.

Yes, it's more work than opening a box and adding a few ingredients, but for a person who enjoys baking, these are incredible! The mint is a delightful change. Be sure you have some place to take them, like a school function, so they don't stay around the house or you will be sorry after you have eaten the entire pan. This was a special treat for NYE dinner and everyone enjoyed them! I was surprised to see the little lines of green creme de menthe when the brownies were cut. It complimented the shaved candy on top and made a fun presentation.

This is a great brownie recipe. Andes chocolates are very very minty so I thought to just use regular chocolate chips and it was awesome! The shaved curls on top are enough mint flavor without being overpowering.

In the recipe though I wouldn't make the frosting until after the brownies are cooled as frosting can harden quickly. Also, don't put the curls on until the brownies are cool or they will melt.
