Great recipe and easy. Agree with others who added more Creole Seasoning. Next time I'll also add some oysters and scallops just for tickles and grins. Instead of 3C of chicken stock, I used 1C of chicken stock and 2C of shrimp stock.

This recipe is amazing!!! It is so simple, not time consuming at all and very good. The sourdough bowls, After brushing olive oil inside and out, I sprinkle salt and parmesan cheese, so it's extra yummy to tear it apart while eating your soup. great great recipe. Family loves it, even my six year old.

Made this at a family gathering and everyone loved it. It's so easy to make! It's hilarious.

I always add a lot of Creole Seasoning because otherwise I find it a bit lacking in saltiness. Maybe 2-3 tablespoons.

I feel that you can add scallops, shrimp, lobster, oysters or crab meat and have a great soup.
This soup combines two of my favorite things: creaminess and seafood. Mmmm.

This was excellent. 2 of us almost ate all of it, in addition to the sourdough bread bowls I served it in!

TO MAKE THIS BISQUE EVEN BETTER TRY THIS:

    1. Use seafood stock instead of chicken
    2. Add a small can of tomato paste
    3. Add fresh basil
    4. Add some dry white wine
    5. Add cayenne to give it a nice kick
    6. Put in blender for a few seconds to smooth it out
    7. Serve in a warm crunchy bread bowl
    8. Garnish with fresh basil and a dollop of creme fraiche

I used fresh shrimp and good quality canned crab instead of lobster and it was excellent!

I love this recipe! It is easy to make and tastes amazing! It is also easy to alter. My local grocery store doesn't usually have fresh lobster tails so I subsituted with crawfish tails and lump crab meat, still following the recipe exactly. It was amazing! And my husband would rather have the crawfish tails and crab meat to the lobster anyway!!!! Great recipe don't pass it up!!!!

This was so easy to make I could not believe it! Not to mention the first time I made the family fighting over it, it was soooo good! Now I make it on a regular basis. I did change it for my family taste, instead of shrimp I use crab and lobster meat and it is wonderful!!!

This recipe is terrible! I made it once and now my teenage daughters insist on it every time they walk by a Seafood section of a supermarket. I have made this soo many times it may be down to memory. Curse You, Paula Deen! P.S. Jamie's Chicken Salad is another one that is unbelievable, and goes well with this dish.
