I have made this several times. It is absolutely delicious. It does take a while though, so be prepared. I find it easier to boil and shred the chicken and make the salsa the night before.

I made this dish last spring. It was amazing, everyone loved it. This dish inspired a gathering of mexican food lovers. Now I plan to remake this dish as part of my sons fiesta themed birthday party. I hope the ingredients portion of this recipe returns in time. The party will not be the same without these tacos.

I would give this recipe 5 stars for taste & flavor for sure! My entire family loved it including my picky eaters! However, I would not reccomend making these unless you have a deep fryer & a lot of time & patience. I made these in a skillet w/ about an inch of oil. You should see the mess! Not to mention a little bit of the filling fell out of my tortillas & burned in the oil when I was turning them. I scooped it out as fast as I could but I had to change the oil. I would also consider this a Intermediate recipe; definitely NOT easy! They make it LOOK easy on TV. I will probably not make it again until I get adaquete equipment. I cook & bake regularly & this was more of a pain than it was worth. And I am left w/ a very greasy kitchen to clean.

It's SO worth it, though. Today is the second time I'm making these. The first time I made them, it took a LONG time and a lot of mess in my kitchen. This time, though, I'm saving time and trouble. I cooked the chicken, and made the 2 salsas yesterday, and today I'm making the tacos, rice, and some homemade refried beans. My family is really looking forward to dinner tonight!

I made it last night and OHHHH BOY!! It was super good. Even my B/F thought it was good. It took me along time and We ended eating pretty late. It's a lot of ingredients, a lot of work, but It was sooo worth the wait!
I can recommended to anybody. I still got some cooked chicken left, so I'll make some more tomorrow.

I made these tacos last night. I did not use the clove in the red sauce (not a big fan of it I did, however, blend a little piece of jalapeno pepper in and it was excellent. I had some of the mix left over and made myself one for lunch. Heads up - MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE TOOTHPICKS!!!

I saw this on paula deens show and saw her add the cream and breadcrumbs. i cook the authentic way and had never heard of such a thing. so last night i made my chicken tacos and decided to just try it. wow...big difference. these tacos were so good. my husband is from honduras and we have honduran borders living with us. i served these to them and i couldnt believe how much they eat. every one loved them and gave me compliments. i didnt have any bread crumbs so i added a little bit of Maseca flour to thicken the filling. It worked. and did not alter the taste. this reciepe is a keeper. thank you paula deen.

This recipe worked very well me and my family. I had way too much turkey left over from new years and decided to use that in place of the chicken and it worked perfectly. the flavor was great and the turkey was moist. (i added one extra clove of garlic and half the salt per my tastes. i also made the salsa verde. i saw the episode when Patty made the salsa and she only used the tip of a serano in addition to a jalapeno, so be wary of using the whole serano chile. i did what patty did and even then it bit spicy for my liking. adding the cojita cheese def made it better. either way, there were no leftovers of either dish. def a keeper.
