    I'm an experienced cook and baker but, for some reason, always seem to have problems with apple pies. This pie turned out superb! I wouldn't change a thing!

    I thought the flavor was wonderful, but I only rated it a four instead of five because I found it a too runny. I want an apple pie that'll hold together a little more when cut.

    it is the best apple pie i ever had and i thought nobody made a bettter pie than my mother. there was not a crumb left at thanksgiving and we will need to make at leat three for christmas to keep everyone happy. thanks paula you are the best!

    The applesauce is a must! Also substitute half of the flour in the crumb topping for oatmeal and forgo a top pie crust. Double the topping ingredients to cover the whole pie - and voila!
