I substituted apple butter for the applesauce because it was all I had on had - it was fantastic and everyone loved it at Thanksgiving dinner!

This was a super easy recipe. It took me all of 20 mins. to get it ready. And less than an hour to cook. And the flavor was unbeliveable.

I like this pie it was easy and quick to make. I used cinnamon apple sauce instead just plain. It really came out good and tasty. I do recommend that you use a deep dish pie crust.

I was more interested in finding a topping for my own apple pie.
but wasn't sure how I was supposed to "sprinkle" that mushy topping described in the recipe...(?
It did remind me on how to make a nice true crunch topping tho...by adding oatmeal.
anyway...maybe the writers forgot to add the oatmeal to the recipe? I dont know...but my topping came out great and deelish.

Simple to make (even for a non-baker like myself and tastes fantastic. I did think there was just a touch too much apple sauce in the pie, might cut down on that a little next time.

This was the best apple pie I have ever tasted. I made my own apple sauce which made the pie even greater. I am glad I ran into this receipe. I am now going to make 4 more pies and freeze them. No need to search for an apple pie receipe as I have found the best. I used Martha Stewarts pie crust receipe.
