Delicious! I will recommend less apple sauce (about 8oz and 2 tablespoons of flour for the filling. I made the crust with all purpose white and whole wheat flour, ratio 3:1 surprisingly good. Next time, I will double the crunch topping.

This is such an amazing recipe. The best apple pie I've ever had. The only thing I do differently is: 1. Use a lot less apple sauce and cinnamon (this is due to personal preference. 2. Make about twice as much topping. Otherwise a fantastic recipe. Thanks Paula!!

I made the pie for the first time this Christmas and everyone has been talking about it since. My sister took a piece to work and let a co-worker sample it and she called me for the recipe. I have a large family so I double the recipe and made it in a 9"x13" deep dish. I have one in the over right now and can't wait for the kids to walk in and smell it. This will surely get me a "mommy of the day" award.

Excellent flavor-however I found it a bit too soupy for a pie. Will make again with less applesauce.

This recipe was great but way to much apple sauce. I would use 1/2 the amount and double the crunch topping.

This is my second Thanksgiving making this pie and it is just absolutely delicious! I even cheat and use store-bought crust. The crunch topping is yummy and a nice added touch to an already great apple pie. I use a variety of apples and I like the addition of the applesauce. I usually use cinnamon apple sauce. This is my Thanksgiving apple pie recipe!
