I am new to baking and wanted to try a classic apple pie. It was super easy and came out delicious. I used a combination of granny smith and pink lady apples. I also used refrigerated pie crusts to save time and it turned out very well. I will definitely be making this pie again.

This dish was easy to make and quite delicious. It is my recommendation that depending on the apples you use that you be cautious with the surgar. I added a few more spices to the pie but overall I was quite please with the tast of the pie and the pie dough receipe was excellent. This is definely a receipe keeper which will be used throughout the year.

used granny smiths. added more flour in the apple mix to thicken the mix, and therefore added more brown sugar. I also ground walnuts and added currents (like raisins to help thicken as well.

We LOVE this apple pie recipe! My husband requested that we replace our pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving with this apple pie. The only change I made was that I prepared the crust in my food processor using the dough blade and it was perfect.

This is the best apple pie recipe! I tried this last year and it was my 1st time ever baking a pie from scratch. It came out perfect, everyone loved it and has requested it again this year. Do not ever take this video down, it is so helpful!

Amazing! Easy to follow recipe. I had just a little problem with the crust when I was rolling it out but I think it was mainly my fault and not of the recipe. But it all worked out fine in the end. Everyone loved it :- Thanks Paula! You never let us down!

A couple of things that didn't work out so well for me while making this recipe - maybe I did something incorrectly?

1 I needed more than 1/2 cup ice water to make the dough stick together and not be crumbly and dry.
2 The combination of the applesauce and the juice from the apples became really soupy and pooled quite a lot in the bottom of the pie dish which made serving it difficult.

That being said, the flavor and spices of the pie filling was delicious!

Made this pie for the first time today. All I can say is WOW..... absolutely delicious!!
