Ok, so I tried these out and I wasn't impressed. The deep frying was so hard to do, the batter kept falling off, and the taste wasn't that good. About 1 out of the 9 I made actually came out good. I'm glad I tested this before I made them for turkey day :

The fritters tasted pretty good, but my batter fell off the bottom of them. We had to turn them upside down so the cranberry sauce didn't ooze out. This was probably due to my error, but I don't think I would attempt this recipe again.

We saw paula make this and it looked so easy and good! We tried it on thanksgiving and between me, my mom, his grandmother and my step-mom....we couldn't get it to work. They are vERY delicate (even after freezing them first and the only way we could fry them with any success was to do 2 at a time which obviously is not feasible for a thanksgiving party of 25....but the two we did tasted good! My suggestion--use a very wide pan/skillet so that they have plenty of room. (they stuck to my fry daddy basket It's okay, Paula...We still love you!!

I love this recipe. It's a change from the ordinary, quick, and it's so good.My entire family loved it. We used it as a lite desert after Thanksgiving dinner.

Did the recipe on Thanksgiving as an Appetizer, followed exact except used self rising flower. Came out so great, everyone rated it 5 stars.

I did a "test run" of this recipe and it was great! I also tried sprinkling the cranberry sauce with a little brown sugar before freezing them-they came out yummy and I am planning on making them for my family on Thanksgiving!
