Absolutely the best turkey! I have made this recipe for the last few years and it is a hit every time. One year we did a traditional oven-baked turkey and this deep-fried turkey. We served them side by side. At the end of the day the deep fried turkey was gobbled up while the oven-baked was only half eaten. Cook time is perfect.

best fried TURKEY ever. Seasoning was great, don't forget to watch the video and do the melted butter trick with garlic. Based on the calculations given for how long you should cook the turkey, I would recommend deducting 2 minutes from it and it will come out perfect. I will defintely do that next year. But the turkey tasted great, everyone loved it.

Be sure to save the tag off of the bag so you know exactly how much your turkey weighs to calculate the cooking time.

My family and I fried our very first turkey using Paula's recipe and it was a complete hit! Even the picky children in our family "gobbled" up their servings and asked for seconds. Roast turkeys will no longer be a part of our Thanksgiving feasts...deep fried is the way to go!

The clean up is very tough. I would recommend using an indoor digital electric turkey fryer. Masterbuilt makes an awesome turkey fryer. Here is the one I typically use: http://www.nationaltailgate.com/store/masterbuilt_butterball_professional_series_digital_electric_turkey_fryer-c-38-p-685.html

Not impressed at all. The turkey was good but nothing special at all. For all of the added trouble, time, expense AND CLEAN UP, I think I'll just roast my turkeys from now on with a good, flavorfull injection. I made two turkeys at work ON MY DESK in portable roaster ovens earlier this week with a good beer n' butter injection, and they were moister and tastier than this deep-fried fiasco. Let's reserve the deep frying for onion rings!!!
