I will never bake a turkey again! To have a 13lb. turkey cooked and on the table in 45 minutes was too good to be true. Not only is this fast but was the best turkey I have ever eaten! Skin was so crisp and tasty, the meat, moist and the smoked flavoring was wonderful!
Thank you Paula for making my Christmas dinner such a delight!

The only change I made to the recipe, was I added some soy bean and sunflower oil to the peanut oil in the deep fryer. My mother-in-law said it was the best turkey she had ever ate. Thanks fo makeing Thanksgiving enjoyable.

The house recipe rub is great on this turkey and easy to make. the addition of the poultry run on top of it really adds to the flavor. the turkey was done, exactly as the recipe calls for and was moist and juicy. Highly recommended.

I used commercial Cajun seasoning rather than the House rub. I spiced up the seasoning with garlic and onion powder for extra punch. Having the bird at room temperature made the greatest difference in the cooking. This was the best fried turkey we ever had. I used the bones and leftover to make a great stock for gumbo.

Man was this a hit at my Thanksgiving dinner!!!
I've never tried to cook a turkey like this, but have heard how wonderful, so we decided to try. All I can say is "Follow Paula's recipe"!!!! It was the BEST we've ever had and so easy to prep and fast to cook. The house seasoning is Perfect and a wonderful adition to this but also any meat. LynnB, Rocky Mount, NC

We tried this because there was no room in the ovens this year and were shocked at the fabulous results from a free turkey from the grocery store. On a dry run, we plopped the frozen bird in some brine the night before (no space in frig and followed Paula's instructions. Tasty, moist, and free... the money we saved from the free-range fresh bird we usually roast even made the fryer free! Thanks... I have converted.
