This cake was soooo good! It turns out more like brownies than a cake, but whatever! It was awesome!

I made this for the first time today and was expecting greatness, based on the reviews of the recipe and its simplicity, however it didn't turn out quite like I expected. I had a hard time getting all of the box cake mixture moistened completely with just the melted stick of butter and one egg. The box directions themselves called for 3 eggs, so I guess I really should have gone with their instructions. I omitted the nuts because I don't like them, and baked for 45 minutes, which was about 5-10 minutes too long. The taste was wonderful but it wasn't "gooey" enough on top, and the bottom was pretty dry and crumbly.

These issues I had making it for the first time are easy enough to learn from and rectify, so I will be attempting to make this again using more eggs and baking less time--because it has the potential to be amazing.

This cake was wonderful and heated the next day with slices of fresh strawberries is the ultimate rush. Going to share with my friends at work.
