I added an extra cup of choc chips and a dash of salt and refrigerated overnight. It set up perfectly -- sooo good, and not at all grainy or overly sweet like traditional fudge tends to be.

Just made this with my daughter for Christmas cookie plates to give as gifts. It was easy. I wondered if the fudge was going to be creamy. And to our delight it is. Now I am back home, 1500 miles, it is Christmas Eve and I'm going to make it again and take it to my in-laws this evening. Really just don't be in a hurry and it will make you proud. Oh we did and I will today use very good chocolate chips. That could make a huge difference in your fudge too. Best of luck

The very first Paula Deen recipe I have ever made that did not work. I love Paula Deen and have all her cookbooks, subscribe to her magazine and eat in her restaurants, but this recipe does not work. I made this to take to a Christmas party as one of the two food gifts I was giving all the attendees and wished I had used one of my tried and true fudge recipes. This does not set up. I made one batch and after 2 hours of no success, I made another. Same result, mushy and not hard. I had to take it as I was out of time but felt bad bringing this.

I've made this fudge so many times! I've used different combinations of chips and different types of nuts. It turns out "DEE-WISHOUS" every time! Easy and quick, just my style. Thanks Paula!
