I'm really not sure why everyone is complaining about it being bland. It's a very BASIC recipe and obviously you can and SHOULD add flavoring as you see fit.

For me I baked it as instructed but the last 5-10 minutes of baking I glazed the top of the rolls with a blend of melted butter, olive oil, and rosemary. I made double batch and these little guys were gone FAST.

My only complaint is the time!!! 15 minutes cooked the bread in the middle but did not brown properly (on bottom or top. I actually baked them a total of 30 minutes hence glazing at the 10 minute mark.

Very good recipe though, thanks Paula!

I made these rolls just the other day and honestly thought they were bland. I couldn't really taste the mayo, it mostly acted to make the rolls have the texture of biscuits. I made them a second time and added a little salt and brushed butter on top before putting them in the oven but still they were just as bland. The best thing about them I thought was that they were super quick and easy, but that doesn't really make up for taste for me!

The rolls were fast to make and tasted wonderful. However, the cooking time for this recipe, did not work for me. It really depends on the oven being used. I had to add another 15 minutes to the cooking time.
